Semester 1 Week 5

I've finished the dragon rig (for now) I know there will be some changes after the animator gets his hands on it, but this is the base for now. I finished the curves, added FK/IK switches, and created the face rig.

Eyes, jaw, tongue, and ears were all added as well as a layer system to hide specific curves in order to make it easier to manage for the animator. I also added a joint near the bottom of the tail in order to make weight painting easier.

 

 

Closeup of the facial rig, in the background you can also see the FK/IK controls. All you need to do is select the letters, and then switch from a 0 to 1 in the channel box and it will switch from FK/IK respectively. It is parented to the arms so it will always follow the body around. I know the neck will be an issue since there was talk of straightening the neck to make it animate easier as well as a few other small things so I'll have to revisit this soon.

 

 

I also started working on the office door, I finished the low poly base mesh and I will move on to sculpting next week.
